About Dr. Patricia Doris
As a private practice psychologist in London, Ontario, Dr. Patricia Doris is committed to providing the highest level of compassionate treatment in a private and confidential manner. Dr. Doris received her Doctoral Degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of Western Ontario in 2004. Over the course of her training, Dr. Doris has worked in diverse settings including hospital, community health clinics, and a university counseling center. As a final step in her training, Dr. Doris completed an APA/CPA accredited residency program at London Health Sciences Centre. During her residency, she worked in a number of different departments including cardiac rehabilitation, community mental health, reproductive endocrinology, outpatient mental health, and medical consultation. Dr. Doris is deemed competent to practice in the areas of Clinical, Health, and Rehabilitation Psychology by the College of Psychologists of Ontario.
After completing her residency, Dr. Doris accepted a position as an Assistant Professor of Psychology at King’s University College at the University of Western Ontario. There she taught courses in clinical, abnormal, counseling, and health psychology. At the same time, Dr. Doris began working in private practice with adults, adolescents, and couples. Her enthusiasm and passion for clinical work eventually led her to choose private practice on a full-time basis. Dr. Doris is committed to providing compassionate and client-centered assessment and treatment to individuals and couples. She continues to attend conferences and workshops in order to maintain the highest level of knowledge in current research findings and treatment approaches. Dr. Doris also fulfills her love of teaching by devoting a portion of her clinical time to supervising and mentoring psychologists entering the profession.
